Belated Bithday post

David hit the big 40 last month. David's brother Ric and sister-in-law Diane flew in for his birthday and to meet Jenna. He never really wants to do anything so we wanted to have a party for him. We decided to help with the food by having a pot-luck dinner, all the food was yummy. What a party, it was really fun, there was a cake fight with David and Kayla and several people got him down and gave him 40 swats to his behind.

Giggle

Yesterday David was on the floor playing with Jenna and he started making sounds like Donald Duck, Jenna must have thought it was pretty funny because she surprised us with a giggle. David made the sound several times and each time she let out a giggle or a smile. We can't believe how big Jenna is getting, she smiles more and talks more every day.
She also kept us up last night and her Daddy was pretty tired, she has found her hands and kept sucking on them all night long.

Our House

We moved to Illinois without seeing the house we would rent. We fell in love with the house and the neighborhood and when our lease was up we wanted to stay in the same neighborhood so we started looking. A day later we saw a for sale sign in our subdivision and went and looked at the house. We couldn't believe it when we saw it, it met all of our requirements, it had lots of windows, a fireplace, a basement, a back yard, two car garage and best of all 4 bedrooms. We put in an offer the next day but had to wait until the California house sold before we could move in. We got very luck with the Anaheim house, the property management company that was handeling the rental put in an offer to buy the house.

A month later we moved in with the help of our friends Vince, Jennifer (photo above)Amanda (shown in photo, hehe), Kayla, Becca, David's brother and his friend. Almost 4 years later we still like our house except for the noise on the street behind us thanks to all the Harley's passing daily.

The best part of our house I would have to say is our great neighbors!

Molly Dog (R.I.P)

I got Molly when she was just a puppy, when I picked her out she was the runt of the litter. When I went back to get her the breeder tried to get me to change my mind, it seems that Molly was the trouble maker in the bunch. How quickly I found out he wasn't telling a lie, she was crazy. Molly loved to chew wood, rocks, rose bushes, leather cowboy boots (only had them 2 weeks when she got to them), Christmas bulbs, Poinsettia plants (guess they were not to poisonous), avocados pit and all, and several other things. She was the only dog I knew that would lay down to eat her food.

She turned out to be a great dog but her age finally caught up with her, she started going downhill but lived until she was 14 years old. The hardest thing I ever had to do was to put her down but she didn't need to suffer any longer.

Happy Easter

Easter was spent at Grandma Roth's house where the Easter Bunny hid lots of Easter eggs inside the house and outside, good thing all the eggs were found inside since they were real hard boiled eggs. Kayla and Becca had a good time running around the yard searching for eggs, the silly Easter Bunny even hid some of the eggs on Stosh's car and in the bird feeder. Dinner was yummy we had Ham, sweet potatoes, homemade mashed potatoes and Jan's famous marshmellow salad. Around the dinner table was Jan, Karyn, Danielle, Heather, Kayla, Becca, Stosh, David, Jenna and myself.

After everybody was stuffed we enjoyed watching the classic Peter Pan movie and I even tried to put Jenna in the Easter basket but she didn't want any part of it. Jenna even got to wear the dress that was once worn by her mommy when she was a baby.

My Tattood Muscle Man

David loves Bodybuilding and Tattoos so look out Jay Cutler, Big Daddy D is on the move. Many people don't know this about my loving husband but he strives to be the next Mr. Olympia. For those of you who don't follow bodybuilding Jay Cutler IS Mr. Olympia (Mr. Olympia is like the Academy Awards of bodybuilding).

My David gets up early every morning to work out and then gets home from work and works out some more. I am very proud of my muscle man, it's hard workout the way he does and even harder to have the discipline that he does to eat healthy.

To bad for a thing called "A Job" or my David would have a full body of tattoos but most companies frown upon visible tattoos. David has about 14 tattoos from Japanese writing all they way to Tinkerbell(oops I wasn't supposed to tell about that one, hehe). What's the next one? Only he will know. Maybe to add Jenna to the already visible rose with ribbon or finish the snakes or something he has longed to have. I guess we will know when the next Inkin Linkin show comes to town.

Miracle Baby

We call Jenna our Miracle baby. David and I were high school sweethearts but split up before graduation (ouch, 1986). After 15 years apart and separate lives David set out to search for his high school sweetheart. Married for a year we decided to try for a family but didn't have much luck, we tried for almost 3 years.

One day I wasn't feeling to great and didn't get my monthly friend so I decided to take a test and much to my surprise the test was positive. To make the event more memorable I arranged to have flowers delivered to David to tell him the good news. We waited until the third month to tell our families and when we did everybody was very excited but the most excited of all were big sisters to be Kayla and Becca. Kayla would be the bigger sister and Becca the big sister.

Most of the pregnancy went pretty well, no morning sickness but I had all kinds of other problems. I had Carpal Tunnel in both hands, very fat feet, a rash all over my belly called PUPS and best of all Gestational Diabetes.

Little Jenna was happy in her little home and didn't want to join us on her own so on "DA' Bears" playoff day we were off to the hospital to be induced. We were put in a room that Bears player #30 Mike Brown's wife delivered in a year before. After about 17 hours little Jenna didn't like the contractions and her heart rate dropped with each contraction so Dr. Carmen decided it was time for a C-Section. About an 30 minutes later little Jenna Adrianne Michelle joined the Russo family.
